The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has initiated a tracking exercise for 106 constituency and executive projects worth ₦41 billion across Kano State.
State Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner, Barr. Ibrahim Garba Kagara, announced the initiative, which encompasses 99 constituency projects and seven executive projects spread across the state’s 44 local government areas.
“The objective is to ensure the projects are executed faithfully and according to specifications for the benefit of citizens, to reduce wastage and corruption, and to ensure proper application of government resources,” Kagara said.

He urged communities to monitor the projects actively and report irregularities to the commission.
The exercise is being carried out in partnership with stakeholders such as the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), civil society organizations, and the media.
Kagara emphasized that this collaborative approach aims to enhance transparency and accountability in the implementation of public projects.
