Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo has ordered the immediate and indefinite suspension of Dr. George Oshiapi Egabor, the Okumagbe of Uwano Kingdom in Agenebode, Etsako East Local Government Area, over growing concerns of insecurity in the area.
The decision was made public in an official statement released on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Fred Itua, Grassroot Parrot reports.
According to the statement, the suspension follows a series of incessant kidnappings and killings that have plagued the Uwano Kingdom in recent times, raising concerns over the monarch’s role in addressing or preventing the security breakdown.
