The Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) said it received 19 complaints in July.
The Commander of the Kano State Command, Abdullahi Al-ameen, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Kano.
He said the service is trying its best to meet its mandate, including prevention, detection of crimes and illegal activities being perpetrated in the forests.

“Of the 19 complainants, 17 have been treated and done with, while two are pending.
“Most of the cases were on animal theft, farm produce theft, kidnapping, phone theft, thuggery, rape among others.
“We will continue to secure and make our forests a crime free zone”,he said.
He urged the residents of the state continue to cooperate with the service and remain law abiding. (NAN)
