The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has approved an upward review of the monthly allowance for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the state from ₦5,000 to ₦20,000.
The new allowance will take effect from August 1, 2025.
Governor Eno made the announcement on Friday, July 4, during the second day of the State Delivery Meeting held at the Banquet Hall of Government House, Uyo.
He explained that the increment is aimed at complementing the Federal Government’s ₦77,000 monthly allowance, ensuring that corps members can better meet their basic needs during their service year.
