The Anambra State Police Command has arrested nine suspects in connection with the kidnap and brutal murder of Hon. Justice Azuka, the member representing Onitsha North 1 Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly.

Hon. Azuka was abducted at gunpoint on December 24, 2024, along Ugwunaobankpa Road in Inland Town, Onitsha, while returning home for Christmas. His lifeless body was discovered near the Second Niger Bridge on February 6, 2025, by security operatives.

Parading the suspects at the police headquarters in Awka on Friday, February 7, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, provided details of the operation that led to their arrest.
