Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been drawn into Group B of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), setting the stage for intense competition as they face Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana.
The tournament, scheduled to begin in July 2025 in Morocco, offers Nigeria another opportunity to assert its dominance on the continent.
The Super Falcons, nine-time champions, will aim to secure a record-extending 10th title.

Group A will be headlined by hosts Morocco, who will compete against Zambia, Senegal, and DR Congo. Defending champions South Africa are drawn into Group C, where they will face Ghana, Mali, and Tanzania.
The tournament, showcasing the skill and passion of Africa’s top women footballers, will run until July 26, 2025, when the final is slated to take place.
With strong squads from across the continent, WAFCON 2024 promises to deliver thrilling football action and further highlight the growth of women’s football in Africa.
