The only son of the immediate past Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, Richard Adamu Tallen, has passed away at the age of 42.
Richard died on Sunday morning at Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja, where he had been hospitalized for a brief illness, the family announced in a statement.
Although the cause of his death has not been disclosed, sources indicate he was placed on oxygen in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Friday night.

The Vom Old Boys’ Association (VOBA), his alma mater, confirmed the tragic news on its social media platform, expressing sorrow over his sudden passing. “On a very sad note, we regret to announce the sudden passing of our member, Mr. Richard Adamu Tallen.
Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him,” the association posted on Facebook.
Richard, a graduate of Computer Science from a U.S. university, is survived by his wife and three children.
The family has stated that burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
