The University of Jos has postponed examinations earlier scheduled for Monday and Tuesday following a deadly attack on Angwan Rukuba.
In a statement, the university’s Deputy Registrar for Information and Public Relations, Emmanuel Madugu, said the decision was approved by the Vice Chancellor due to rising tensions after the Sunday night assault by gunmen in the area.

He urged staff and students to remain vigilant, limit movement, and promptly report any security concerns to the institution’s security unit.
The attack, which occurred in Jos North Local Government Area, reportedly left several people dead and others injured, prompting the Plateau State Government to impose a 48-hour curfew to restore order.
