The Federal Government has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the ongoing recruitment into four major paramilitary agencies — the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCOS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

The announcement was made by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), which oversees the recruitment process for the four agencies.

According to a public statement issued by the Board’s Secretary, Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril (Rtd.), applicants are advised to visit the official recruitment portal — https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — from Thursday, October 30, 2025, to confirm whether they have been shortlisted and to check their Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.

Jibril emphasized that all shortlisted candidates must carefully note the date, venue, and time of their CBT as displayed on the portal. He also warned applicants to beware of fraudsters, stressing that the Board does not engage intermediaries or collect money from candidates for any stage of the process.

“Applicants are strongly advised to rely solely on information available on the CDCFIB’s official website,” Jibril stated.

The CDCFIB reiterated that the recruitment exercise is part of the government’s effort to strengthen the nation’s paramilitary institutions and enhance security across the country.

With the release of the shortlist, successful applicants are now expected to proceed to the next stage — the computer-based screening exercise — which will determine those qualified for further assessments and eventual training.
