The Senate has confirmed Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as the substantive Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, alongside six other ministerial nominees.
The confirmation, following about five hours of screening, also includes Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade and Development; Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
Also, Muhammadu Dingyadi confirmed as Minister of Labour and Employment, while Idi Muktar Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development; Yusuf Ata as Minister of State, Housing; and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State, Education.

Earlier, the Senate suspended its rules to admit Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, Basheer Lado, who escorted the nominees into the plenary session.
The nominations were introduced last Thursday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio following a letter from President Bola Tinubu.
