President Bola Tinubu has revealed that his administration has successfully negotiated a new national minimum wage in good faith. This is contained in a nationwide broadcast on Wednesday morning to celebrate Nigeria’s 25th democracy anniversary.

President Tinubu highlighted his commitment to the welfare of the citizens and the necessity of ongoing economic reforms. President Tinubu announced that his government would soon send an executive bill to the National Assembly to formalize the agreed-upon minimum wage for the next five years or less.

This move aims to provide a stable economic environment and ensure that workers receive fair compensation.

Amid the backdrop of rising inflation and increasing economic hardship, President Tinubu urged Nigerians to bear the pains of the necessary reforms. “As we continue to reform the economy, I shall always listen to the people and will never turn my back on you,” President Tinubu assured the nation.
