Residents of Sheka Sabuwar Gandu community on the outskirts of Kano metropolis have been thrown into shock and fear following the gruesome killing of a pregnant woman and her 18-month-old son by unknown assailants.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred on Saturday night but was discovered at about 8:00 p.m. when the woman’s husband returned from work to find their house mysteriously locked from the outside.

According to community sources, the distraught man forced his way into the house, only to be met with a horrifying scene — his pregnant wife and their toddler son lying lifeless, their bodies badly burnt after they were allegedly killed by the attackers.
