Former President Olusegun Obasanjo made a striking appearance at the wedding of Aisha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, daughter of 2023 NNPP Presidential Candidate Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, and Fahad Dahiru Mangal, son of Katsina business mogul Dahiru Mangal.
Obasanjo donned the iconic red cap of the Kwankwasiyya movement, symbolizing solidarity with Kwankwaso and his political ideology.
The grand ceremony, held at the Kofar Kudu Emir’s Palace in Kano, drew an array of prominent figures from across Nigeria’s political, business, and diplomatic circles.

Among the notable attendees were Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and former PDP National Chairman Adamu Mu’azu. Serving and former governors, ministers, legislators, and business leaders also graced the event.
The wedding rites were officiated by the Chief Imam of Kano State, Dr. Sani Zahradeen. The groom’s family, represented by Vice President Shettima, presented a dowry of ₦1 million to Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State, who stood in for the bride.
The solemnization ceremony, steeped in Islamic tradition, signified the union of two influential families.
The festivities continued with a lavish wedding reception at the Kano State Government House, where guests celebrated the couple in grand style.
