President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that a time will come when they will appreciate the tough policies and decisions currently being implemented by his administration.

Speaking at the South-West Assembly of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos on Saturday, October 5, the president, represented by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, emphasized that the ongoing reforms are necessary to set the country on a path to prosperity.

President Tinubu acknowledged that the policies have subjected the ruling party to widespread criticism but maintained that the sacrifices being made today will yield positive results in the future.

“We acknowledge that our decisions have been tough, but they needed to be taken. The gains are at the end of the tunnel. That time will come when we will all be happy and thank our government for taking those decisions,” Tinubu stated.

The president assured the gathering of APC leaders, which included governors, deputy governors, federal and state lawmakers, and former elected officials from the southwest region, that he is more focused on securing a better future for Nigerians than on political calculations for the next election.
