Abia State Governor Alex Otti recently welcomed former Kano State Governor and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) 2023 presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to his Nvosi Isiala Ngwa South local government country home.
The meeting has sparked speculation of a possible alliance between Kwankwaso’s NNPP and a faction of the Labour Party (LP), led by Nnenadi Usman, ahead of the 2027 elections.
Kwankwaso was in Abia to offer condolences to Governor Otti following the passing of Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, the first civilian governor of Abia State, who was recently laid to rest.
