The Kano State Deputy Governor, Aminu Gwarzo, has accused former governor Abdullahi Ganduje of using the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) to create chaos in the state by smuggling the deposed Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, into Kano.
Gwarzo made this allegation on Saturday morning while speaking with journalists at the Emir’s palace in Kano.
Gwarzo claimed that Ganduje, with the support of the NSA, arranged for the dethroned Emir to be brought back into the state on a chartered flight.

“It is unfortunate that the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, is using the National Security Adviser to create tension in the state by smuggling into the state the former emir, Aminu Ado Bayero,” Gwarzo stated.
The deputy governor emphasized that the appointment and removal of emirs or any traditional title holders are exclusively within the purview of the state government. He expressed bewilderment at the federal government’s interference in these matters.
“I am here together with the governor and other top government functionaries to ensure that the new Emir, Muhammadu Sanusi II, starts exercising his power and authority immediately after he was given his appointment letter yesterday (Friday),” Gwarzo added.
