Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu of the Kano State High Court has retrained Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero from parading himself as Emir of Kano.
The judge, in her perpetual injunction on Monday, also ordered the other four emirs of Bichi, Rano, Gaya, and Karaye to refrain from the emirship position after their dethronement.
While delivering her ruling, Adamu further restrained the Emirs, along with their servants, privies, and any other persons appointed by them, from parading themselves in their former capacities as Emirs of Kano, Bichi, Gaya, Rano, and Karaye.
Monday’s ruling contradicts the June 20 judgment of a Federal High Court in Kano, which nullified the reinstatement of Muhammad Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano.

The ongoing emirship tussle in Kano has witnessed a series of dramas after Muhammed Sanusi II was reinstated by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf as the 16th Emir of Kano.
Grassroots Parrot had reported how Governor Yusuf dethroned Bayero and four others emirs and ordered them to hand over power within 48 hours.
But Bayero, who was out of Kano at the time the order was given, returned and moved into the mini palace in Nasarawa.
Following this development, Governor Yusuf ordered the immediate arrest of Emir Bayero. The development prompted Bayero to contest his dethronement in court.
Bayero also asked the court to nullify the law through which the governor deposed him and reinstated Sanusi.
