The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of German tactician Bruno Labbadia as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s senior men’s national football team. The appointment was disclosed early Tuesday morning through an official tweet from the NFF’s X (formerly Twitter) handle, using the hashtag #thenff.
In the statement, the NFF confirmed that it had reached an agreement with Labbadia, who now becomes the 37th Head Coach of the Super Eagles. The decision to appoint Labbadia was approved by the NFF Executive Committee, following a recommendation from its Technical and Development sub-committee.

“The Nigeria Football Federation has announced that it has reached an agreement with German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, to become the Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team, Super Eagles,” the NFF’s General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, stated in the announcement.
Labbadia’s appointment comes in the wake of the resignation of former Super Eagles coach Finidi George. The NFF has not yet provided further details on Labbadia’s contract or his immediate plans for the team.
