Jaiz Bank, Nigeria’s pioneer non-interest financial institution, has been named the “Most Promising Islamic Bank” globally for 2024. The announcement was made during the Global Islamic Finance Summit (GIFS) and awards ceremony held in the Maldives.

The prestigious Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) committee, chaired by Professor Humayon Dar, selected Jaiz Bank after a rigorous evaluation process.

Professor Dar praised Jaiz Bank for its remarkable growth, innovation, and financial performance, stating, “Jaiz Bank stands out as a leader with exceptional potential in the Islamic banking sector.”

Receiving the award on behalf of the Bank, Jaiz Bank’s Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Haruna Musa, expressed gratitude and emphasized the significance of the award in the Bank’s journey towards becoming one of Africa’s top non-interest financial institutions.

He also highlighted that this recognition aligns with the Bank’s strategic vision for the next five years.

Jaiz Bank had previously been honored with GIFA’s “Most Improved Islamic Bank Award” in both 2020 and 2021. The GIFA Awards are renowned for recognizing excellence and innovation in the global Islamic finance industry.
