The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, has reassured Nigerians that the nation’s long-standing security challenges will soon come to an end. Ribadu gave the assurance on Friday during a visit to Damaturu, Yobe State, where he commiserated with the people following a recent insurgency attack in one of the state’s communities.

Speaking during his visit, Ribadu praised the armed forces and other security agencies for their relentless efforts in combating insecurity, noting that their sacrifices have led to significant improvements in the country’s security landscape.

“The Federal Government is working around the clock to end insecurity, and it is only a matter of time before the entire country is secured,” Ribadu said.

Joining Ribadu, the Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun, expressed his condolences to the families who lost loved ones and property in the attack. He also offered prayers that such unfortunate incidents would not recur in the future.

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, thanked the federal delegation for their visit, saying it had brought comfort to the people of the state during these difficult times. He called on Nigerians to continue supporting and praying for the success of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, stressing that the president’s success is crucial to the nation’s prosperity.

The visit highlights the federal government’s continued efforts to restore peace in areas affected by insurgency, with security operations ongoing across key hotspots in the country.
