From Esther Akaa, Lafia

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has commissioned the remodelled State Government Printing Press in Lafia, the state capital.

The printing press, which was first built in 2001 under the administration of former Governor Abdullahi Adamu, had been experiencing low productivity due to outdated equipment.

During the commissioning ceremony on Thursday , Governor Sule expressed his appreciation for the initiative to establish the printing press, but noted that the equipment had become obsolete over time.

He also acknowledged previous attempts to upgrade the facility, which were unsuccessful.

In his words “This Printing Press was first built and commissioned in the year 2001. So we appreciate those who came with the idea of establishing the printing press but most of the equipment actually went obsolete.
