The Kano State Fire Service has confirmed a fire outbreak at an uncompleted building situated at Durumin Zungura quarter in Kano Municipal Local Government Area of Kano State.
Grassroots Parrot reports that at least 50 chickens were burnt to ashes at the uncompleted building being used for livestock farming.

This is coming 48 hours after 40 shops were razed by fire at a shopping complex adjacent to Zawaciki Housing Estate in Kumbotso local government area of the state on Tuesday.
One of the victims, Musa Ahmad, told newsmen that affected shops included provision stores, cement shops, POS outlets, and many others.
It took the efforts of the men of the State Fire Service with three trucks of water to extinguish the fire.

However, the latest incident occurred on Thursday at about 12.45pm, according to a statement by spokesman of the State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi and made available to Grassroots Parrot on Friday morning.
The Spokesman explained that a horse was rescued alive during the operation even though there were injuries in some parts of its body.
Abdullahi said the operatives of the State Fire Service have succeeded in stopping the spread of the fire to other houses in the area.
